MOVING Detroit Business Forward
Making ready for the growth
Our first community initiative focuses on local business. Our team of #MOVEahead volunteers supported the business incubator, Detroit is Different, headed up by Khary Frazier. We prepared the lower level for some new renovations. This will help the incubator expand its activities and provide some much needed storage space.

Kitchen Shine
A new look for Grandma Craft
Next up was a residential service project. Grandma Craft, a 97-year old Detroiter, was in need of a new kitchen floor. After she picked out her tile, we tore out the old flooring and replaced it with a great looking vinyl tile floor. A shout out to the star worker–12 year old Jack Johnson–who scrapped up the old then laid in the new like a pro. Now Grandma’s enjoying her new look.
